The Lord is my strength and my song; he has given me victory. This is my God, and I will praise him—my father’s God, and I will exalt him! —Exodus 15:2, NLT
How will this day unfold? Will it be filled with beauty or pain? Will it bring tears or laughter?
As daughters of the King, we have known both delight and despair—for our lives are braided together with sunlight and shadows. This our Father knows. And this He promises: “As your days, so will your strength be” (Deuteronomy 33:25, NASB).
When Christ abides within us, He becomes our strength and our song. No matter what life brings. No matter how the day unfolds. He clothes us with strength and sets our hearts to singing.
“ ‘And I will be to [Jeruselum] a wall of fire all around,’ declares the LORD, ‘and I will be the glory in her midst’ ” (Zechariah 2:5, ESV).
Strength for the Day is your personal invitation to come aside and spend some time in the Father’s presence. Still your heart, quiet your mind, and you will find . . .
“He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless” (Isaiah 40:29, NLT).
