David Livingstone; physician; missionary; explorer; geographer and lover of humanity. From 1840 to 1873; he devoted his life to teaching the "heathen" of the "Dark Continent" about the love of God. He devotedly endured great hardships and died on his knees in prayer at Ilala village (Zambia). Livingstone opened the continent for many missionaries to follow.
